Hussam George Saleeby, 64, of State College, died Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Born April 23, 1961, in Homs, Syria, he was the son of the late George Saleeby and Souad Kallas. He is survived by his wife, Lina Eid.
In addition to his wife, Hussam is survived by two children, George Saleeby and his wife Jacqulyn of San Francisco, CA and Jacqueline Saleeby and her partner Scott Morelli of Boston, MA, and two siblings, Manhal Saleeby and his wife Baha Balji Saleeby of South Hill, VA and Sahar Saleeby-De Rijk and her husband Han De Rijk of Utrecht, Netherlands.
He worked more than 25 years as a Medical Doctor for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
He found immense joy in bringing people together—through laughter, through the generous feasts he loved to prepare, and through the open-door gatherings that made everyone feel at home. He was an avid poker player, a connoisseur of the finest cigars, and a passionate car enthusiast. But above all, he cherished his family deeply. His happiest moments were those spent surrounded by loved ones, good food, laughter, and a shared sense of joy.
