Jeffrey R. Swabb, 75, of Linden Hall, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Born on March 29, 1950, in Bellefonte, he was the only child of the late J. Raymond “Rink” Swabb and Barbara (Ross) Swabb.
Jeffrey is survived by his devoted life partner of more than 45 years, Linda L. Houtz.
He was a 1968 graduate of State College Area High School. After holding various jobs, Jeffrey pursued his true calling by completing his education at the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School of Pittsburgh. He went on to work as a professional gunsmith for more than 40 years, a trade that was not only his livelihood but also his lifelong passion.
Jeffrey enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He was a life member of the NRA and took great pride in his craft. Known for his kind and gentle nature, Jeffrey was a quiet soul who preferred the comfort of familiar surroundings and lived life with humility and sincerity.
In accordance with Jeffrey’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local charity of the donor’s choice.
