Jordan Andrew Payne Henry, 22 years of age, died in a car accident in the early hours of Saturday, May 14, 2022. Born in Philipsburg, PA, Jordan lived with his parents, Laurencio Carlos Ruiz and Roselyn Costantino, in State College, PA. He graduated State College High School in 2017 and attended Penn State Altoona 2017-2018.
Jordan worked with a contract painting company and as an assistant theatre set and prop builder with his Dad. In his spare time, he loved to read novels, write short stories, play video games, skateboard, cook and, importantly, hang out with his friends. Jordan’s friends were essential to his life. They shared his love, remembering him as having a ‘heart of gold’, a loving and caring soul who took care of those in need even when it got him in trouble. Smart, articulate, and wicked funny, Jordan is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. With his loving parents, over time, his internal light and his humanity grew brighter—Jordan’s lasting gift to us, his legacy.
Jordan is survived by sisters he loved dearly: Payton Roane, Ashlyn and Raegan Ball, and Braylee Bell; and dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins in PA, NJ, and Mexico City who adored him.
Visitation with family and friends will be on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 1-2pm followed by a memorial celebration at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Centre Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foster Kids Rise, the Jordan Henry Memorial Fund, C/O Northwest Bank, 2200 S. Atherton St. State College, PA 16801.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. 228 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Centre Hall. An online guest book can be signed or condolences to the family available at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
