Joyce M. Shuey, 73 of Howard, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born on August 28, 1948 in Howard, Pa. the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Walker Barndt.
On August 14, 1971 she was united in marriage to James Shuey who survives at home.
Joyce was employed at the Penn State University retiring after 10 years of service.
She was a member of the God Missionary Church in Milesburg. Joyce enjoyed reading and computer games.
Along with her husband she is survived by three sons, James, Bryan and Jeffrey Shuey, two daughters, Karen Ann Confer and Sharon Tressler, eight brothers, Ronald, Nelson, Dan, Steve, Dennis, Kevin, Roger and Rodney, four sisters, Carol Barndt, Donna Rhoads, Nancy Albright, and Sherry Whitehill, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at noon at the God’s Missionary Church, 219 Old 220 Rd., Milesburg with the Pastor Frederick Bennett officiating. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 – 12:00 prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery in Howard.
