Laurie Ann Butler, 59, of Beech Creek passed away on February 19, 2024, at Mount Nittany Hospital in State College, PA.

Born on December 28, 1964, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Norma “Jean” Connor. Laurie married the love of her life, Gregory Butler, on September 1, 2006.

Laurie is survived by her father and mother Bob and Jean Connor, her husband Greg Butler, her daughter Amanda Reed (Matt Heitzenrater), her son Jason Reed (Sara), and her grandson Francis Reed. She is also survived by her sisters Paula Byerly (Jack) and Karen Reitz (Edward) along with her sister-in-law Sandra Cale (Carl) and several nieces and nephews. Laurie was preceded in death by her brother Robert Connor Jr.

Laurie grew up playing basketball and riding horses. She had many stories to share about growing up with her brother and sisters and enjoyed sharing those memories. She had several occupations over the years all of them in a position where she was helping or serving others, but her true calling was as a homemaker. She loved to cook and clean as well as doing things for others. Laurie lived in multiple places throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio throughout her lifetime, but she spent the majority of it in Brookville, PA. Several years ago, Laurie and Greg moved to Central PA and found a peaceful place in the mountains. One of their favorite things to share together was feeding and watching the wildlife. This was Laurie’s forever home and loved everything about it. More recently, she found great joy in spending time with her grandson, Francis. She was fortunately able to spend lots of time making memories that will last a lifetime with him.

Family and friends will be received for a celebration of life from 1-2pm on Monday February 26, 2024, at Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services 135 W Main St. Howard, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm.
