Leah K. Dixon, 79, of Centre Hall, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on April 21, 1943, in Emporium, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gordon E. and Jeanetta M. (Lauder) Klock. In August of 1962, in Emporium, she married the love of her life, Henry P. Dixon, who survives at home.

Leah graduated from Cameron County High School in 1961. She started her employment with MuRata Erie in 1972 and continued to hold various positions throughout the company, including the ceramics department, until her retirement in 2004.

Leah enjoyed spending some of her free time putting together jigsaw puzzles or getting lost in a good book. She would often follow the news and current events and liked politics. She was a fan of football and especially enjoyed watching Penn State play. She loved cooking food. She would watch food programs on TV and test new recipes. She found joy in hosting gatherings, especially for the family. She held her family close to her heart, loving her husband, children, siblings, and all 4-legged companions each and every day.  

Along with her husband, Leah is survived by her children, Daniel Dixon and Kara Dixon, both of State College and two brothers, Jay Klock and his wife Mary Lou of Burlington, IA and Randall Klock and his wife, Fran, of Pleasant Gap.

Leah was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Klock, and her sister, Margaret “Mitzie” Klock.

Following Leah’s wishes, all services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to an animal rescue of your choice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
