Levon Ellen Kleckner, 89, of Howard passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at her home.
Born March 25, 1932 in Blanchard, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Courter and Charlotte Miller Kramer.
After graduating from Lock Haven High School, she went to work at Sylvania.
On June 7, 1952, she married her love, Dale E. Kleckner, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage before his passing on November 2, 2018.
As an excellent seamstress who could tackle any sewing project, Levon showcased her talent while working at Bobbie Brooks and then Woolrich.
Levon was an avid bowler and a member of the bowling league for numerous years. She also loved to roller skate.
She was a faithful member of the Blanchard Church of Christ.
Levon was also a member of the Beech Creek-Blanchard Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary and the Beech Creek American Legion Auxiliary. She was active in the Beech Creek Friendship Community Center as well as the Mill Hall Senior Center.
Surviving are her children: Duane (Andrea) Kleckner of Beech Creek, Kenneth (Beth) Kleckner of Blanchard and Susan (Michael) Young of Beech Creek; a son-in-law, Steven Heverly of Howard; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kleckner of Mill Hall; four half-brothers: Frank, Bill and Wayne Kramer and Franklin Courter; two half-sisters, Judy Tressler and Carol Fox; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Kleckner in 2017; a daughter, Karen Heverly in 2020; and a half-brother, Donald Kramer.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 8 P.M. at the Blanchard Church of Christ, 161 Beach St., Blanchard with Rev. Dr. Russell Moldovan officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Thursday from 6 P.M. until the time of the service.
Private burial will be at Hayes-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.
