Marilyn A. Heltman of Rebersburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was 67. Born April 15, 1955 in Lock Haven, Marilyn was a daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Virginia R. “Pyle” Gephart. She was a 1973 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.
Marilyn was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Rebersburg and, the American Legion Keystone Post #444 in Millheim. She was an avid follower of football, enjoyed folk-art painting, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, cooking and watching wildlife in her back yard.
Marilyn is survived by her fiance’, J. Michael “Mick” Bierly; three sons, Eric A. Heltman (Kelli), Bradley J. Heltman (Rebecca) and Ryan A. Heltman (Tabatha); three siblings, Diane Homan, Kenneth C. Gephart (Kathy) and Wendell Gephart (Barb). Also surviving are extended family members, Anne Stoudt (Brian), Clay and Matt Bierly and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by the father of her sons, Timothy Heltman and a brother-in-law, Carl Homan.
Family and friends will be received from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim on Saturday, October 22, 2022. The Celebration of Life service will follow with Pastor Tom Titus officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest in the Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery in Rebersburg.
