Mark J. Confer 80, of Beech Creek, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at U.P.M.C. Hospital, Lock Haven. He was born in Lock Haven on September 14, 1941 a son of the late Robert B.and Anna M. Confer.
Mark was united in marriage on July 27, 1963 to the former Fay M.Young who survives at their home in Beech Creek. He was a truck driver for Haven Homes for many years, and was a faithful member of the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church. He also leaves behind three daughters, Towanda M.( Alvin ) Fanucci of Ellijay, Ga., Michele L. ( Steve ) Young of Mansfield, Tx., and Wendy S. ( Roosevelt ) Williams of Florence, S.C., four sons, Mark R. ( Kathy ) Confer of Nittany, Timothy L. ( Michelle ) Confer of Nixa, Mo., Marvin P. ( Amy ) Young of Beech Creek, and Ryan P. Young of Beech Creek, twelve grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Mark was the last of his generation.
Services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 6:00 P. M. at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St. Beech Creek with Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 4:00 until service. Burial will be private at Schenck’s Cemetery, Howard. In accordance with CDC guidelines masks will be required.
