Michael P. Hanley, Sr., 58, of Orviston, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Born on May 22, 1963, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Paul and Clarahissa (Jeirles) Hanley.
Mike worked at various jobs throughout his life, such as the Curtain Township Municipality and Avis Homes before his retirement. He was of the Christian faith.
Mike enjoyed going to camp, hunting, wrestling, softball, and watching Penn State Football on TV. He loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family meant a lot to Mike, and he liked spending time with grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his children: Michael P. Hanley, Jr. and his fiancé, Carrie Zerbe, of Beech Creek and Marcie J. Peters and her husband, Andrew, of Hannacroix, NY; five grandchildren, who he adored, Hayden Hanley, Ella, Ethan, Ava, Mya Peters, and two sisters: Stacy Hopkins and her husband, William, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Darla Chubb of Norwood, NC, and his best friend, Buff, the dog.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 5-6pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard.
