Milly C. Stasko, 82, of Moshannon, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on April 7, 1940, in Burnside Twp., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Burfield) Collar. On July 6, 1957, in Snow Shoe, she married the love of her life, Philip D. Stasko. Philip passed away on May 19, 2007.
Milly attended the Bald Eagle Area High School. She was a homemaker.
Milly was a life member of the Moshannon United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Snow Shoe VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5644, where she proudly served many positions. She enjoyed playing bingo, word search puzzles, and putting puzzles together. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan!
Milly is survived by her four children: Priscilla F. Sipes and her husband Harold, of Snow Shoe, Rosey E. Simcisko and her husband, Jeff, of Snow Shoe, Michael T. Stasko, and his wife, Terri, of Bellefonte, and Mary S. Verbitskey and her husband, Francis, of Clarence; seven grandchildren: Thomas Simcisko of Snow Shoe, Samantha Bittinger (Preston) of Snow Shoe, Dustin Sipes (Alesha) of Snow Shoe, Chelsea Stasko of Bellefonte, Emily Stasko of Bellefonte, Benjamin Verbitskey (Joanie) of Clarence, and Alyssa Wellington (Johnny) of Clarence, and six great grandchildren: Hayden, Riley, Jeremiah, Zeke, Lyle, and Layne.
Also surviving are her three sisters: Violet Blair of Moshannon, Dorothy Collar of Moshannon, and Barbara Lucas of Vero Beach, FL.
Along with her parents and husband, Milly was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Gerald, Emory and Arnold; and by eight sisters: Vivian, Martha, Mary, Joyce, Rosey, Nancy, Alice, and Elva.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 6-8pm at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Moshannon United Methodist Church at 11am with Pastor Cathy Dittman officiating., followed by a graveside service at the Askey Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
