Miriam Diane Confer, of Spring Mills, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Centre Care in Bellefonte. She was 73. Born September 27, 1949 in Hazelton, Diane was a daughter of the late Lester G. and Miriam “Robinson” Bouch. On March 8, 1969, she married Charley W. Confer who survives.
In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by two sons, Lester Confer and Keith Confer (Stacey) both of Spring Mills; two brothers, Donald Bouch (Dee) and Jacob Bouch (Gloria); four grandchildren, Charles Jacob Confer, Dylan Confer, Danielle Confer and Catrina Armstrong (Rusty); one step grandson, Jacob Richardson and two great great grandchildren. Diane was preceded in death by one grandson, Anthony Confer and one brother, Lester Bouch.
Diane was an avid animal lover, especially cats and dogs. She enjoyed plastic canvas stitching, going out to eat, watching old western TV shows, and reading murder mysteries. She was a member of the Brush Valley United Methodist Church and especially loved doing Bible research on her computer.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at the Brush Valley United Methodist Church in Madisonburg. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 with Pastor Randy Muthersbaugh officiating. Diane will be laid to rest in Heckman Cemetery at a later date.
