Monica M. Graff, 81, of Bellefonte, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Born on April 16, 1943, in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Sweeney) Verostek. On September 8, 1962, she married Delano R. Graff, who survives her.
Monica was a proud 1961 graduate of Ridgway Area High School. She dedicated many years of service as an Admissions Clerk at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, retiring in 2002. Monica was also an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellefonte.
Monica found joy in simple pleasures, such as word search puzzles, reading, and spending peaceful moments on her porch. She cherished her Saturday morning breakfasts with her daughter, Mary Jane, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Monica and Delano often traveled to support their grandchildren at sporting events and school activities. She also adored her dogs, treating them as beloved members of the family.
She is survived by her husband, Delano; three daughters: Mary Jane Schreffler and her husband, Rob, of Howard; Georgia Fox and her husband, Greg, of Galean, OH; and Christina Eckenroth and her husband, Jeremy, of Reading, MA. Monica is also survived by four grandchildren: Robby Schreffler and his wife, Abby; Allan Schreffler and his wife, Nicole; Ava Fox; and Harrison Eckenroth; as well as three great-grandchildren: Avery, Evelyn, and Madison.
In addition, she is survived by her brother, William Verostek and his wife, Karen, of Orange, CA and her sister, JoAnn Dixon of DuBois.
Along with her parents, Monica was preceded in death by an infant son and an infant daughter, and a sister, Katheen Annis.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 10-11am at St. John Lutheran Church, 216 N. McAllister St, Bellefonte. A memorial service will follow at 11am, with Pastor Will Osman officiating. Burial will take place at Snydertown Cemetery.
