Alberta S. Neal, 89, of Gardners; died Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center in Carlisle.
She was born at Landisburg, Perry County, a daughter of the late Paul and Susan Bachman Smith.
On October 19, 1945, she married Ralph N. Neal Sr. who survives at home.
In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Neal worked at various sewing factories.
Among the things she enjoyed most were quilting, crocheting, sewing and cooking. Not only did she enjoy those things, but she was very accomplished in all of those areas.
Surviving Mrs. Neal in addition to her husband; are four children; Louise Neal and partner Larry Bollinger of East Berlin, Gladys Doll of Gardners, Ralph N. Neal Jr. and his wife Pennie of Gardners, and Bonnie Cressler and her husband Eric of Blain; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Anna Smith, Mabel Foose, Wilmer “Dutch” Smith and Guy “Speedy” Smith., making her the last survivor of her generation.
Following her wishes all services will be private at the convenience of the family.
