Obituary of Beverly Blakeslee Callenbach , 74

Beverly Blakeslee Callenbach, 74, of Milesburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home. Born Sept. 2, 1935, in Pleasant Gap, she was a daughter of the late Capt. George T. Blakeslee and Grace Shope Blakeslee. In 1959 she married Carl Callenbach and moved to Newark, N.Y. and then to Boone, N.C.

She was a graduate of Bellefonte High School in 1953 and attended Appalachian State University, Lock Haven University, and Penn State. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. She worked at Sutton Engineering, West Penn Power Co., Jackson & Perkins Rose Gardens in New York, and retired from Nease Chemical Co. in 1970.

She is survived by one daughter, Melanie Ann Jordan, of Roswell, Ga.; twin brother, James T. Blakeslee; and brother, George Allen Blakeslee, of Bellefonte. There will be a graveside service held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at Union Cemetery in Bellefonte at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend James R. Schomer officiating.
