Beverly L. Cleaver, 78, of Howard, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Lock Haven Extended Care Unit in Lock Haven. Born on March 12, 1937, in Howard, she was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Cora L. Gallagher Lucas. On November 20, 1955 she married Max H. Cleaver, who passed away on December 19, 2008.

Beverly was of the Protestant faith. She attended the Howard High School. She was a homemaker.

Beverly enjoyed cooking, not only for her family but the for the entire neighborhood. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her two sons; Steven L. Cleaver and his wife, Patty, of Howard and Larry E. Cleaver, also of Howard, seven grandchildren; Aaron Cleaver and his wife, Heather, Natalie Heaster and her husband, Matthew, Rachel Yoder and her husband, Kevin, Josh Cleaver and his wife, Danielle, Ethan Cleaver and his wife, Kari, Nathan Cleaver, and Ashley Letterman and her husband, Justin, and seven great grandchildren; A.J. Cleaver, Jacob Heaster, Lillian & Wyatt Yoder, Kyler Cleaver, Raelee Cleaver, Jonah Cleaver, and Jeremiah Cleaver.

Also surviving Beverly are her siblings; Norma Lucas, Malvin Lucas, Rich Lucas, Ed Lucas, Vincent Lucas all of Howard, and Kenneth Lucas of Bellefonte.

Along with her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Cleaver; daughter in-law, Kristina Woodring Cleaver; siblings; Phyllis Barndt, Catherine Lucas, Dorothy Shuey, Mary Louise Schlegel, Donald Lucas, and Fred Lucas, Jr.

Family and Friends will be received on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 10am until time of the service at 11am at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main St. Howard. Funeral service will be at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Hicks officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Boggs Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Beverly's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
