Carl C. Fomich Jr., 61, of Aaronsburg, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Carl, son of the late Carl C. Fomich, Sr. and Helen Bressler Fomich, was born on Sept. 15, 1948, in Bellefonte. On May 28, 1966, Carl married Katie M. "Sugar" Vonada. Mrs. Fomich survives at their home in Aaronsburg.
He was a 1966 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. Carl was employed as a general manager at the former Erie Technological Products in State College with 15 years of service. He was last employed at the former Clark Motor Company with 12 years of service. Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by three daughters, Tawnyae L. Kerstetter and companion Chad Harter, of Zion, Karla M. (T.J.) Newbauer, of Bellefonte, and Danielle C. (David) Samuelson, of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Joshua C. Fomich, of Bellefonte; and six grandchildren; Mandie Kerstetter, Kaylee Kerstetter, Paige Kerstetter, Carly Homan, Chase Newbauer and Chloe Newbauer. Also surviving is one sister, Sonja S. Shawver, of Pleasant Gap; and one brother, Ronnie L. (Glenda) Fomich, of Centre Hall.
In accordance with the family's wishes, services will be private. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.
