Carla Sue Rickert, 45 of Mill Hall, surrounded by her family and friends, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her home.
Born on December 20, 1968, in Lock Haven, she is the daughter of the late Carl Gates and Ethel Lucas Gates, who survives in Howard. On August 20, 1988 she married William M. Rickert, who survives at home.
Carla was a 1986 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Snydertown. She was employed at Miller, Kistler, and Campbell Law Office in Bellefonte as a Paralegal Secretary.
Carla loved to hunt and to ride motocross. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her husband and children.
Carla is survived by her mother, husband, children; William Franklin, Trent Robert, and Marissa Lauren Rickert, all at home. She is also survived by her two brothers; Dennis Gates of Millheim and Gary Gates of Howard, and one sister, Carol Kustaborder, also of Howard.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 6-8pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, in Howard. Funeral services will on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 2pm at the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Snydertown with Rev. Ruth Jensen officiating. Burial will be private.
