Carol Anne Callahan, 68, of State College, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. She is now at peace and on her journey to heaven.
She was born on December 21, 1944, in Jersey Shore. On September 3, 1965, she married Mike Callahan, who survives. They were married for 48 years.
Also surviving are three children, Colleen Callahan of State College, Melissa Callahan of Jacksonville, NC and Daniel Callahan of State College; two sisters, Nancy Mitchell of Bloomington, IN and Ellen Hill of Hughesville; one brother, Howard Brownlee of Eldorado, KS; two grandchildren, Richard Rosborough IV and Sierra Callahan.
Carol was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of State College.
She had a flair for arts and crafts. She was both talented and creative. She particularly enjoyed writing, painting and ceramics. Her smile was contagious and would light up a room.
The holidays were her favorite time of the year, especially enjoying those times with her family. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m., on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College, with the Reverend Brian Spang officiating.
