Charles E. "Chuck" Simons, 55 of Bellefonte, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 due to a farming accident in Bellefonte where he worked. He was born on June 11, 1954 in Woodhull, N.Y., a son of Allen Perry of Houghton, N.Y. and Marilyn Simons of Troupsburg, N.Y.
He married Karen Reese, his wife of 24 years, who survives at home.
Chuck was a farmhand with Weight's Dairy for 24 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping.
He is survived by 1 daughter; Lisa A. Simons Spicer and husband Earl of Pine Glen, 3 sons; James E. of Aaronsburg, Christopher D. and Patrick C. both at home, 3 sisters; JoAnne LeBarron and husband Dale, Nancy Kibbe and husband Michael, and Janice Hulbert and husband Timothy, 2 brothers; Ronnie and wife Lisa and Lonnie Simons. Also surviving are 3 grandsons; E. James, Nathanial Spicer and Jaden Simons. In-laws; Gloria & John Reese of Silver Creek, N.Y., Aunt Lorriane Soreuson and husband Sam, Aunt Pauline Graves, Uncle Monroe Jr. Graves and Wife Judy, and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Friday, October 2, 2009 from 6 – 9:00. An additional visitation will be Saturday, October 3, 2009 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery, Howard Twp.
