Charles S. "Chick" Ferree, Jr., 64, of Mill Hall, died Jan. 13, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born Dec. 19, 1945, in Lock Haven son of the late Charles S. and Margaret Dress Ferree.
"Chick" retired in 2006 as the Porter Twp. Tax Collector after 35 years. He had also worked in Harrisburg for two years in accounting prior to returning to the Mill Hall area. He was a 1963 graduate of the Bald Eagle Nittany High School and a 1965 graduate of the Thompson Business Institute. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mill Hall.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary K. (Edgar) Bayler, of Camp Hill, Norma J. (Robert) Rimmey, Rote and Suzanne V. Karichner, all of Mill Hall. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
At the request of Mr. Ferree there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mill Hall.
