Charles E. “Tink” Packer, 75, of Bellefonte passed away March 26, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born September 6, 1942 in Bellefonte he was a son of the late Doyle E. Sr., and Bernice L. (Grubb) Packer.
Tink retired from Ruetgers Nease Chemical Corp and was a long time member of Bellefonte VFW Post 1600. He enjoyed family gatherings, family butcherings, hunting, playing cards, watching western movies – John Wayne was the man, horses, and trips to Benezette to see the Elk.
Tink is survived by two daughters, Michelle Packer and Angela Packer both of Bellefonte; three siblings, Terry Packer of Bellefonte, Jo-Darlene “Sis” Shutt (William) of Milesburg and Doyle E. Packer, Jr. of Bellefonte; numerous nieces and nephews, and his grand dog, Smushie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings, William “Woody” Packer, Robert “Butch” Packer, Nancy Smith and Molly “Perk” Miller.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 1-2 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, a celebration service will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Charles’ name may be made to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
