Connie A. Reitmeyer, 65, of Lock Haven, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at the Jersey Shore Hospital. Born on April 26, 1949, in Lock Haven, she is the daughter of Horasce J.McCloskey of Howard and the late Bernice McCloskey.
Connie is a 1967 graduate of Lock Haven Senior High School. She was employed as a machine operator for Woolrich Woolen Mills, working in the Howard Plant, Blanchard Plant and the Woolrich Plant before retiring after 30 years of service.
Connie was a member of the Lock Haven Eagles Club, Lock Haven Moose Club, Sons of Italy, Castanea Fire Co., and the Beech Creek American Legion.
She enjoyed fishing, playing games on her computer and riding her scooter up and down her street.
Connie was married to Robert J. Lachat, who survives at home. She is also survived by her son; Fred Rupert of Beech Creek, daughter; Lea Ann Reitmeyer of Great Lakes, Ill., step-son; Christopher Lachat and his wife, Wanda of Mill Hall, and step-daughter; Lisa Bangson and her husband Jim also of Mill Hall. She is also survived by a brother; Jeffrey Heverly and his companion, Christina Anderson of Bellefonte, a sister; Viola Calhoun and her husband Ronald of McElhattan, and two grandchldren, Andrew Lachat and Elizabeth Bangson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard with the Rev. Charles W. “Chuck” Salmon officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery in Howard Twp.
