Curtis Allen “Curt” Myers, 40, of State College, passed away at his home on Wednesday February 21, 2018. He was born March 13, 1977 to Gary E. and Carol J. Decker Myers.
Curt is a 1994 graduate of State College Area High School. He attended Penn State University before attending the Commercial Diving Academy in Jacksonville, FL becoming a Certified Deep Sea Diver, Underwater Welder and Dive Medical Technician (DMT) in 2012. Upon graduation, Curt spent time in Houma, LA employed as a certified diver and DMT.
Throughout his life Curt was passionate about bodybuilding, health and fitness. He enjoyed ATV Motocross racing where he competed professionally racing 4-wheelers. He was a master welder who loved metal fabrication and restoring old cars and pieces of equipment with his father.
Most recently, he was employed as the Vice President of C.S. Myers and Son, Inc. in State College, PA where he worked with his father and brother.
Curt is survived by his parents Gary E. and Carol J. Myers, his brother David M. and his wife Leslie S. of State College; a niece Gracie and nephew Jesse.
Visitation and funeral services are being handled by Koch Funeral Home at 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA. Visitation is being held on Tuesday, February 27 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday February 28, 2018 with the Reverend James Nolten officiating the service.
Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
