David "Davo" J. Geiser, 47, of Boalsburg, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at his home. Born Sept. 19, 1962, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Patricia Day Hunt of Boalsburg and John L. Geiser, of Ormond Beach, Fla.
He was a 1980 graduate of State College Area High School. He attended the Pittsburgh Art Institute and the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a free lance graphic artist. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Boalsburg and the Boalsburg Fire Company. He was a musician and a stamp collector. He enjoyed brewing beer and woodworking. He loved his Old English Sheep Dog, Barclay.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Rossi, of State College and Nancy Geiser and her husband, Mike Everett, of Asbury, N.J. He deeply loved his nieces and nephews, Raymond and Malinda Rossi, and Nathaniel Eliasen, Brandon Everett and Jayden Geiser.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home with the Rev. Monica Ouellette officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
