Donald Lee “Duck” Greenland, 77, of Aaronsburg, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 11, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Born December 9, 1936 in Nanticoke, Donald was a son of the late Leonard Greenland and Martha Jay, (Stepfather Leo Jay). He graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1955. Donald served in the United States Air Force until 1976, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. Upon his arrival back home, he became a General Merchandise Store Partnership Owner until retirement in 1995. On September 10, 1958, he married Rosalie Greenland of Apollo Beach, FL and they shared 32 years together.

Donald enjoyed oil painting, recreational pool, and fishing, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Keystone Post # 444 in Millheim, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his five children, Dennis Greenland and wife Rosario of Dingmans Ferry, Donna Greenland and partner John Ebeling of Aaronsburg, Deborah “Deb” Hettinger and husband Randy of Milton, David Greenland and wife Jeannine of Aaronsburg, and Armand Delacruz and wife Sue of La Plata, MD. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and his siblings, Joan Williams, of Apollo Beach, FL, Leonard Greenland and wife Margaret “Penny” of Hernando, FL and a stepbrother, Leo Jay and wife Diane of Beavertown. He was preceded in death by his sister Janice Malarky.

The family wishes to thank all his caregivers including Home Instead and Home Nursing Agency Health Care. A special thanks to Jessica Yoder and Tom Baker for their loving service.

In accordance with Donald’s wishes, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Donald may be given to the American Cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks St., State College, Pa. 16801.
