Obituary of Doris Weaver , 77

Mrs. Doris Weaver, 77, of Navel Orange Drive, Orange City died Sept. 25, 2009 at the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Center in Orange City.

Mrs. Weaver was born on Aug. 26, 1932 in Lemont, Pa., the daughter of Franklin and Bertha Campbell Houts. She was united in marriage to Sherman Weaver, whom she has been married to for 57 years. She was a member of the MS Support Group. She enjoyed shuffleboard, swimming, playing cards and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Sherman; a son, Ronald K. Weaver, of Winter Garden, Fla.; a daughter, Robin L. (Timothy) Shank, of Deltona, Fla.; three grandchildren, Danielle, Samantha and Joel; one sister, Donna Bjalme, of Florida; five brothers, Richard Houts, of South Dakota, Kenneth Houts, of New Jersey, Harry and Rick Houts both, of Pennsylvania and Fredrick Houts, of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 27th from 6-8 p.m. at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL, Phone: 386-775-4260. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 28th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Linda Bishop of the United Church of Christ officiating. Entombment will follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
