Ethel Louise "Jackie" Dimmick Henderson, 82, of 120 Coburn Road, Millheim, passed from this life at her home on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Born on November 13, 1931 in Danville, Jackie was a daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Burch Dimmick. Jackie was working part time at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville when she graduated from Danville High School in 1949, where she designed the Danville Ironman Marquis .

On December 1, 1949, Jackie married Ire E. Wildsmith. Jackie was again employed at Geisinger Medical Center as a desk clerk in the department of obstetrics and gynecology from 1953-1959. On June 6, 1959, she married Richard M. Henderson, who preceded her in death July 28, 2009.

Jackie is survived by one son, Donald C. Henderson of Bellefonte; two grandsons, Brian Wildsmith of Howard and Thomas Hosterman of Harrisburg; five great grandchildren and a very dear friend, Angelo Buffone of Berwick. In addition to her husband Richard, Jackie was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth E. Wildsmith of Petersburg on August 4, 2012 and one brother, Vance Dimmick of Strongsville, OH. on November 28, 2001.

Jackie was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Millheim, where she sang in the choir, participated in the hand bell choir, at various times taught Sunday School and served on numerous committees.

From 1978 to 1994, she was a volunteer EMT with the former East Centre Ambulance Association. She was also a member of the board of directors and was an advanced first aid instructor. In 1993, Jackie received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for humanitarian services rendered from The Lion Club International Foundation. For a number of years she helped with the blood pressure clinic and the baby clinic at the Millheim Outreach Center and also assisted at various Red Cross blood drives in the area.

A memorial service in Jackie's honor will be held for family and friends at 11:00 am on Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Millheim with Pastor Julia Sprenkle officiating. Jackie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim. Contributions in memory of Jackie may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Po Box 439, Millheim, Pa. 16854.
