Faye A. Witmer, 69, of Bellefonte, died Monday, September 15, 2014, at her residence. Faye was born February 28, 1945, in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late John H. and Mary Hillard Shawley.
On June 25, 1983 she married Richard W. Witmer who survives at home.
Faye attended Bellefonte High School, she later acquired her GED. She had worked at Penn Tran Corp. as a laborer and also at Sky Top Chiropractic She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Protestant Faith.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thomas R. Alterio, of Aaronsburg and Dwayne D. Alterio, of Vinton, Va.; four daughters, Lisa A. Kellerman, of Spring Mills, Jennifer K. Kerstetter, of Aaronsburg, Jessica E. Bates, of Cedar Ridge, Colo. and Leslie A. Bumbarger, of Mingoville; one sister, Shirley Houser, of Valley View; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary E. Shawley; and six brothers.
Services will be held at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Devett officiating. Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Township, Centre County.
