Frederick P. Haller, 76, of State College, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at his residence.
Born March 9, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pa he was a son of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Merill) Haller.
On July 20, 1970, in State College he married the former Peg Shuey who survives at home.
Frederick was a staff sergeant in the US Air Force, serving in Berlin, during the Berlin Crisis.
He was a 1964 graduate of Penn State receiving a BS in Electric Engineering. Fred was self employed most of his working career working in property management. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his granddaughters fishing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Frederick P. Haller, II (Margie) of State College and two granddaughters Heather and Haley Haller both at home.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Louis Haller.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner Street, State College with the Reverend P. Stevens Lynn officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in Centre County Memorial Park.
In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 205 Garner Street State College, PA 16801.
