Glenna was a faithful Christian and member of Carlisle United Methodist Church. She was a Stephen Minister, lay speaker, and a Cub Scout den mother. After raising her family, she earned her nursing degree and worked at the Lebanon, PA, V.A. Hospital and several central PA nursing homes as an LPN. A highlight of her medical career was a trip to Honduras to assist with medical care.
Her hobbies were quilting, sewing, reading, cooking, gardening, and ceramics. She loved teaching middle school-age children at Sunday school. In her younger years, she enjoyed running and participating in local races. She was known for her compassion and generosity and was a friend to anyone in need. Most of all, Glenna loved hosting family gatherings and nurturing her family. She gave us what we needed. She was there for every moment, every heartache, every decision, every joy, and was always by our sides. She demonstrated her love tirelessly. May her strength and loving spirit live in us always. Her last prayer was “I love my lord. Come, Jesus. Let me be with you.”
