Harold C. “Grunk” Yearick, Sr.78, of Hublersburg, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born on November 28, 1935, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Harry C. & Almeda Orr Yearick. On July 26, 1953, in Snydertown, he married Patricia A. Rockey who survives at home.

Grunk attended the Walker Twp. School. He was of the protestant faith. He was employed as a Yard Supervisor for Claster’s of State College, retiring in 1998 after 35yrs of service.

Grunk was a life member of the Walker Twp. Fire Company, Captain of the Walker Twp. Fire Police, former president of the Clinton County Uniform Fire Police, Trustee in the Centre County Fire Police, a member of the NRA, a member of the Eagle Head Hunting Club in Egypt Hollow, a safety instructor for the Hunter Safety Course and a former Scoutmaster for troop 52 in Walker Twp. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Grunk is survived by his wife, children: Harold C. Yearick, Jr. and his wife, Vicki, of Boalsburg, Criss A. Yearick of Zion, and Greg A. Yearick and his wife, Jami, of Syndertown, and one brother, George A. Yearick and his wife, Doris, of Julian. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, Winter Marie Yearick, Josh M. Yearick, Amber Lynn Yearick, Kelly Lynn Denkhaus, and Jack Johnston, and three great grandchildren; Grace, Sage, and Shiloh.

Along with his parents, Grunk was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and Roy.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 25, 2014 for 6-8pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main St. Howard. Funeral service will be on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Bo King officiating. Burial will be Zion Cemetery, Walker Twp.
