James A. Johnson, 87 of Pleasant Gap, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his home.
He was born on January 23, 1926 in Pleasant Gap, Pa. a son of the late Forrest and Edna Williams Johnson.
On October 18, 1947, he married Emily Smith, who survives at home.
James served in the U.S. Marines in WWII.
He was a self-employed mason, finding particular joy in working with mountain stones.
In addition to his wife, Emily, he is survived by his three daughters; Evelyn (John) Ryder of Vincennes, IN; Jennifer McCullough of Pleasant Gap, Pa.; and Audrey (Gerald) Barner of Pleasant Gap, Pa. He is also survived by two siblings; Ruth Bressler of Centre Hall, Pa. and Kenneth (Marian) Johnson of Wommelsdorf, Pa.
It was his wish, there will be no public visitation or memorial service.
