Obituary of James R. Johnson "Dick" , 84

James R. "Dick" Johnson, 84, of Johnson Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at his home. Born July 11, 1925, in Johnson Hill, he was the son of the late Lee O. and Albina Watson Johnson. He married the former Eleanor McMullen Johnson in Jan., 1962. She preceded him in death in Oct., 1999.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a farmer. He enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by three sons, Richard A. Johnson, Robert L Johnson, and Ronald C. Johnson, all of Johnson Hill; two sisters, Sue Wesley, of Clearfield, and Anna Allison of Duluth, Minn.; and, seven grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Karin Johnson, Curtis Sherrer, Chance Sherrer, Nezhonii Sherrer, Leo Johnson and Luke Johnson. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Franco, and Marie Packer, and three brothers, David Johnson, Clair Johnson, and Lee "Junior" Johnson.
