Jean Walker, 82, of State College, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28th surrounded by her loved ones.
Jean treasured the company of her children, grandchildren, family, friends and cats. Over her lifetime she enjoyed cooking, travel, gardening, painting, reading mysteries, skiing, dancing, sewing, calligraphy, drinking tea, eating toast with marmalade and watching Masterpiece Theater and The View.
She was an active member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of Detroit and The Women’s Welcome Club of State College. A lifelong artist, she was an exhibitor in the Central PA Festival of the Arts and a member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen. She was passionate about nature, holiday gatherings, beach vacations, blue & white china, cookbooks, flea markets, the opera, watermelon and the color blue.
Jean is survived by her three children, Leslie, Tom (Kelly) and Ellen (Dan) Baxter, all of State College, and her four wonderful grandchildren: Ethan, Emma, Ginger and Sam.
