Justin Caleb Carr, 28, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died Thursday, January 15, in Patton Township.
He was born January 2, 1987, in Hampton, VA; a son of Keith and Ruth Babb Carr who survive in Pennsylvania Furnace.
Justin graduated from State College High School in 2005. He was employed in the building construction industry.
Among the things he enjoyed most were spending time with his Pit Bull Marley, music, especially playing the guitar, and earlier in life was an avid BMX bike rider.
Surviving Justin in addition to his parents are three sisters, Tiffany Hettinger and her husband Nick of Rebersburg, Krysti Carr of Boulder, CO, and Phoebe Carr at home; his paternal grandfather, Gene Carr of Waverly, VA; two nephews, Gavin and Gabriel Hettinger; his best friend T. J, Barnhart and several other friends who spent a great deal of time together, frequently centered around music.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p. m. Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service P. C. 1034 Benner Pike, State College, with the Reverend Perry Babb and The Reverend Marshall Peters officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
