Kathryn M. “Kate” Robinson, 98, of Howard, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg. Born on February 22, 1916, in Howard Twp., she was the daughter of the late John W. and Lena B. Leitch Corman. On March 17, 1945, in Pittsburgh, she married Cordis M. Robinson who passed away on March 29, 2006.
Kate attended the Gravel Point School. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked at Titan Medal in Bellefonte before and during WWII. She was of the protestant faith.
Kate enjoyed bus trips, often going south to Florida in the spring and north in the fall to observe the changing colors of the leaves. She loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kate is survived by her sister, Dorothy Godshall of Bellefonte, daughter in-law, Jeannette Robinson of Huntingdon, grandchildren; Thomas “Bucky” and his wife, Cascy of Huntingdon, Justin and wife, Lily of Kalaheo, HI, and Nancy and her husband, David Wessels of Huntingdon, great grandchildren; Samantha, Skye and Paige Robinson all of Huntingdon, David and Sean Robinson both of Kalaheo, HI. Also surviving is her son Jim’s companion, Gwen Miller of Mechanicsburg and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Kate was preceded in death by her two sons, Tom in 2007 and Jim in 2012, also six brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 17, from 1-2pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 2pm. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Marion Twp.
