Kathy J. Neff Hanselman, 57, of Aaronsburg, flew with the angels on Thursday, August 2, 2018. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Born May 2, 1961, Kathy was the daughter of the late William H. and Cherry Y. “Corman” Neff. She was a 1979 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.

On July 5, 2014, she married the love of her life, Robin Hanselman who survives in Aaronsburg. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Dustin M. Hickey (Beka) and Brandon W. Hickey (Pyper), as well as three beautiful grandchildren, Aaliyah Nesmith, Connor Hickey and Tahlia Hickey. She is also survived by four siblings, Lisa Snead, Valerie Mouery (Chuck) William Neff II (Vickie) and Allison Bell (Justin), many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her father in law, John Hanselman; her sister, Colleen Ross; her nephew, Damon Bush, and her beloved grandson Brycen B. Hickey.

Kathy was passionate about her family, friends and her art. She loved being Robin’s “wife”, the boys “Mom”, “Aunt Kathy” to her nieces & nephews, and “Grammy” to her grandkids. She worked at the Millheim Hotel, where she became a longtime member of the community. She enjoyed seeing her friends, and meeting new people. She was, for all her life…..an artist. In 1999 she graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate Degree in Graphic Design. She enjoyed drawing, sketching, and painting; however, her true love was photography. She was magic with a camera, and was able to capture beauty in all things. Kathy and Robin shared their love of photography in their business “Fox Gap Photography”.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 11th from 11am -1 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim, followed by a short service. There will be a Celebration of Life immediately following at the Millheim Hotel. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kathy may be given to House of Care, 100 North Academy Ave, Danville, PA 17822.
