L. Jean McCool, 80, passed away in Hatfield, Pa., a devoted mother and grandmother. She was born on March 23, 1937 in Mt. Carmel, Pa, the daughter of the late Ralph O & Emily Merton Leathers. She married Harold “Tony” McCool on June 7, 1957, he preceded her in death on December 11, 2016.
Jean was a secretary for the Central Intermediate Unit in West Decatur for approximately 25 years retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the Lock Haven Community Orchestra and Chorus, former member of the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church and most recently the Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
She is survived by one daughter Adelaide (Michael) Linn of Gwynedd, Pa and one grandson Spencer Lynn.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
