Lee A. Myers, 94, of Bellefonte,died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at home. He was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Pleasant Gap, a son of the late James and Madeline McClellan Myers In 1941, he married Goldie Walker, who preceded him in death on May 20, 1999. Lee was a service technician for Jodon Oil Company. Lee was a faithful member of the Runville United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the infantry in Europe during World War II. Lee was a member of Bellefonte Lodge Number 268, the Free and Accepted Masons, and The Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest Number 129. He was a member of the Centre County Grange, having served as chairman of the entertainment committee for 17 years. Lee loved fishing, hunting, bowling and spending time with family and friends. "Uncle Lee" will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by two sisters, Ethel Spicer of Continental Courts, Bellefonte and Jane (Roy) Johnson of Mount Eagle; and two brothers, Russ (Ann) Myers, of Milesburg and Phil Myers, of Lakeland, Fla. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tom, Paul, Robert and Ted Myers; and sisters, Charlotte Gummo and Adeline Heshley. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home in Milesburg. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at the funeral home, with Pastor Douglas W. Mellott officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Runville United Methodist Church, 1216 Runville Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823 Arrangements are under the direction of Dean K.
