Lloyd “Scott” Shehan, 64, of Bellefonte died June 16, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born September 21, 1951 in Lewistown he was the son of the late Lloyd Emery and Virginia Charlotte (Ganoe) Shehan.
On July 7, 1973 in State College he married the former Debra D. Dixon, who survives at home.
Scott was a Staff Sergeant in US Air Force serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a Group Leader at Chemcut Corp in State College and a member of the Woodycrest United Methodist Church, where he was a lay leader. He was also a troop leader in Boy Scout troop #370.
Scott was a loving husband, father and grandfather; family was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed photography, wood working and sports, especially Penn State football.
In addition to his wife, Debra he is survived by one son, Dr. Steven Shehan (Tina) of Camp Hill; one daughter, Julie Evey (Justin) of Lamar; two sisters, Judy Llewellyn (Robert) of Ringtown and Phyllis Shehan of State College and four grandchildren, Preston and Emma Evey and Kyle and Maura Shehan.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday, June 19, 2016 and Monday, June 20th from 10-11 AM at the Woodycrest United Methodist Church, 219 Clearview Avenue, State College, PA 16803. The funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with the Reverend Dr. Renee Ford officiating. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park with military honors in accord.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Scott’s name may be made to Woodycrest United Methodist Church Elevator Fund, 219 W. Clearview Avenue, State College, PA 16803.
