Lynne Marie Schenck, 61, of Centre Hall, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center with her family at her side.

A daughter of Lewis Garbrick of Centre Hall, and the late Irene Tate Garbrick, she was born on September 20, 1951 in Bellefonte.

On July 24, 1994, in Centre Hall, she married Ronald J. Schenck, who survives at home.

She was a graduate of Penns Valley High, class of 1969. She attended the Calvary Bible Church in Centre Hall.

Lynne dedicated her life to helping and giving to others. It was because of her passion and dedication she volunteered her time to help the elderly and needy by serving as an Ombudsman as well as donating her time to various causes. Her work life also allowed her opportunities to express her continued devotion to helping others from her service as a dental assistant to working in the ER at Mt. Nittany.

She was an avid reader and spent countless hours working in her flower gardens. She very much enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also always looked forward to and had a special connection to the Grange Fair because of having grown up in the family business, Garbrick Amusements.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Cale Fetterolf of Lancaster, PA, and a daughter, Christin Fetterolf of Boston, MA. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Kayla and Alyssa Fetterolf.

Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p. m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Calvary Bible Church, 600 North Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, with the Reverend Richard Gilbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at in Schencks Cemetery, Howard.
