Mark R. Briner, 34, of Port Matilda, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, doing what he loved, riding.

Mark was born on May 4, 1984, in State College, a son of Susan M. Hammond Briner of Port Matilda and the late Larry S. Briner. On July 23, 2011, he married the former Nichole R. Mills who survives at home.

Also surviving are his children, Cody R. and Carly R. Briner both at home. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Janine (Matthew) Thompson of Aston, PA and Kristen (Rob) Scully of Newark, DE. and his brother Stefan (Jessica) Briner of Julian. Mark is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Hunter Gates, Hannah Briner, Barrett Briner, Alexis Hall, Jacob Hall, Robert Scully III, and Emma Scully.

Mark was a 2002 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and CPI as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Mark worked for DCNR as a maintenance mechanic. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy, from2002-2007. He was in Kuwait, as a CM2 Seabee under Operation Enduring. Mark was a member of Port Matilda American Legion Post 536, he was an avid rider of all recreational vehicles. Mark was an avid hunter, loved music, and shooting darts.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Mark R. Briner, will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1PM with Pastor Samuel Reese, officiating at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM – 1PM time of the services . Military honors will be accorded.
