Mark Lester Tice, 44, of rural Julian died Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Rush Twp., Centre Co., Pa. He was born in Bellefonte on June 9, 1969 the son of the late Merrill Lester and LaVetta G. Burris Tice.
Mark was a farmer his whole life working on the family farm on Rattlesnake Pike. He was currently employed by Probuild in Runville as a truck driver. He previously was employed by Ultra Trucking, Grow Mark FS, Bud Snyder Excavating in Union Twp., and also by Reigh Services. Mark was a 1987 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by two brothers; Blanchard (Lettie) Tice of St. Petersburg, FL and Raymond (Cynthia) Tice of Julian. Mark is survived by his faithful dog, Bingo. Also surviving are his nieces, Janet Ubereti of Bellefonte, Paula Furl of Runville, and Davena Gray of Emigsville and his nephews; Dwight Tice of Felton, Bruce Tice of Fawn Grove and Lawrence Tice of Elizabethtown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Dean A. Tice.
Services will be held at the Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 with Pastor Ronald E. Baker officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church from 4 – 9 P.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, Pa.
