Martha J. "Janet" Robinson, 87, formerly of Howard and Sunbury, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Mountain View, A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coal Township. She was born June 1, 1922, in Clarence, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Chambers Muirhead. On Oct. 21, 1941, she married Lester T. Robinson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2005.
Martha was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed camping and playing bingo, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Anderson, of Hamburg, Ark., and Linda Casher, of Snow Shoe; two sons, Thomas Robinson, of Susanville, Calif., and Leonard Robinson, of Bellefonte; and two sisters, Corrine and Marie Belitz. Martha was one of 13 children and is also survived by many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsey Hunt.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard. Funeral services wiill be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery, Howard. Online condolences can be made at www.Kader-Neff.com.
