Maureen Larkin (Keller), long-time resident of State College, passed away on January 8 at her home in Bellefonte.
Visitation and fellowship will be held at 5:30 pm on Friday, January 12 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College The memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
In honor of Maureen's bright personality, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite colors.
Born December 30 1956, in Philadelphia, PA, Maureen graduated from State College Area High School 1975 and received her teaching degree from Penn State University. For the majority of her career, she taught Cosmetology at Empire Beauty School and at, what is now, the Mifflin County Career and Technology Center, in Lewistown. Maureen's sense of humor and joy for life will be missed. She was a loving Mother, Sister, Teacher, and Friend.
She is survived by her siblings, Pat Snyder, Aileen Warner, Kit Larkin, Colleen Chapman, and Kevin Larkin, her children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Adam Jones, Michael and Lisa Keller, her grandson, Douglas, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father Edward Larkin, her Mother, Rita, and her oldest sibling, Christine “Chris.”
