Melody “Mel” Keller Mehalick died on January 18, 2018. She was born in Bellefonte, PA on December 20, 1955, a daughter of the late Shirley “Shay” Long Keller and William H. Keller. She attended State College Area Schools and graduated in 1973. She married Joseph E. Mehalick with whom she had two children, Joseph E. Mehalick, Jr. and Tracie Lynn Mehalick. She also has one grandson, Christian Richard to whom she was a very special BeBe.
Also surviving her are three sisters, Marsha K. Stover (Ron) of Warriors Mark, Marilyn G. Byers (Gary) of Spring Mills and Melisa K. Jodon of Richmond, VA. and Cathy J. Holsing (Ray) whom she considered an adopted sister. She was a special aunt and great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dog Maci.
Mel was employed as Deputy Two in the Centre County Recorder of Deeds office. She previously was employed at PNC Bank and McLanahans. Early in life she was a caregiver to young children, many of whom enjoyed a special relationship with her.
She was a life-long active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills, PA.
