Peggy Ann Summers, 72, of Howard, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on March 27, 1945 in Altoona, PA she was the daughter of the late William and Edna Prancis (Whitesel) Heller. She married Richard Summers, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 4, 1985.
She was a graduate of Altoona Area High School.
Peggy was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and having cook-outs.
She is survived by two sons; Richard Summers Jr.(Ada) of Rebersburg and Thomas Summers of Howard, one sister, Betty Stacey (Ron) of Hollidaysburg, two grandchildren; David (Crystal) Witherite and Cody Witherite (Tara Auman), and five great grandchildren; Kendra, Harlee, Kyle, Hazel, and Kayla. Also surviving is her beloved dog Baby Girl.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dottie Heller and one brother, William Heller.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte, with a memorial service to be held at noon with Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
