Robert E. Zimmerman, 56, of California City, CA, formerly of Millheim, passed away at his residence on December 5, 2014. Born June 22, 1958 in Las Vegas, NV, Bob is a son of the late Robert E. Zimmerman, Sr. and Shirley M. (Gilmore) Zimmerman of Millheim. Bob was a 1976 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 2007.
In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by four brothers, David J. Zimmerman (Lori) of Aaronsburg, Todd A. Zimmerman (Penny) of Howard, Brett W. Zimmerman (Heather) of Aaronsburg and John M. Zimmerman (Cinnamon) of Warriors Mark along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the military he was employed at Edward Air Force Base.
A memorial service is being tentatively planned for a later date.
