Robert L. Reese Sr., 59, of Port Matilda died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
He was born October 15, 1949 in Philipsburg, a son of Leroy (Bugs) and Jean (Corbin) Reese. He was formerly married to Kathryn Brownson who survives in Mill Hall.
Surviving are two sons Robert L. Jr. and wife Cissy of Port Matilda, Brian J. and wife Christina of Tyrone; five grandchildren, Aaron T. Varner, Haley, Grace, Jaiden and Emma Reese; his mother of Port Matilda; and 3 brothers Russell E., Richard and Roy Lee Reese all of Port Matilda. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Reese retired in 2007 from PENNDOT as a foreman following 30 years service. He was a member of the Port Matilda Baptist Church, NRA, the National Wild Turkey Foundation and was a 1967 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing, riding his John Deere tractor and working in his garden.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Port Matilda Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery, Worth Twp. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
